Basic instructions.

The Magento connection used for Webmarketing Booster products is dedicated to placing orders, products and categories in the WMB platform. It gives you data consistency between your platform and the third-party WMB platform. The import frequency can be changed by contacting the WMB support service.

In order to remove your installation costs, this article allows you to generate an API key that ensures communication between the two platforms.

Integrate the WMB tag into your Magento platform (estimated time 10 min).

The wmb.js tag is the Web tagging library used for Webmarketing Booster products and dedicated to conversion tracking, dynamic product signage, and site performance measurement. It gives you more control and simpler configuration processes. With wmb.js, you will be able to benefit from all the functionalities and novelties as soon as they are launched.

To ensure optimal operation of the WMB solution and the performance of your site, it is important to place the asynchronous wmb.js tag before other JS tags that you have on your site.

To integrate the WMB tag on your Magento platform, simply follow the 3 steps below.

Access your theme in your back office

From your Magento back office, follow these steps:

  • In Magento 1.X, click Setup > General > Design > HTML Head > Miscellaneous Scripts > (WMB Script HTML).

In the next step, you will integrate the JS Tag into your Magento platform.

Integrate the JS WMB Tag into your theme

From your Magento back office, follow these steps:

  1. Add the WMB script <script type="text/javascript" src="https://my.wmb.io/api/wmb.js" async></script> in the field provided for this purpose.
  2. Click on "Save configuration".

In the next step, you will check the implementation of the JS WMB Tag in your Magento platform.

Verify that the tracking code works

To verify that the tracking code works, go to your website and follow these steps:

  1. Access the home page of your site by entering your url in your browser.
  2. View the source code of your page.
  3. Do a search for the wmb.js tag in your source code.

Bravo! You have installed the wmb.js tag on your site.

  2. Click on "Save configuration".

In the next step, you will check the implementation of the JS WMB Tag in your Magento platform.

Creation of the Magento API connection (estimated time 15 min).

Before integrating your Magento online store with WMB, you must provide your API username and password. To create your API credentials in Magento, just install the WMB Magento module.

Install the WMB Magento module

Download the WMB module here, unzip it and drop the folder "app" at the root of your site by simple drag'n drop using your usual FTP tool.

Check the creation of the Webservice within your Magento back office

To complete the process, verify that the Webservice has been successfully created:

  1. In your Magento admin panel, select System > Notifications.
  2. A new notification containing the message "WApiExtend successfully installed" and your credentials should have appeared.
  3. This new notification also contains username and password API key allowing the WMB solution to connect to your Magento.

Bravo! You have correctly installed the WMB Magento module to connect to the WMB solution. In the next step, you will copy / paste the API key username and password into your WMB account.

Copy the API key of your connector to the WMB platform

In the "Admin API" section, follow these steps:

  1. Return to the my.wmb.io platform using your login and password.
  2. Copy / Paste the "API key" and "Password" information of your Magento into the fields provided for this purpose in your WMB registration tunnel.

In the next section, you will check that the communication between WMB and your Magento is functional.

Before integrating your Magento online store with WMB, you must provide your "Access Token". To create this API credential in Magento, you must first create a "new integration" to run the Webservice.

For this, simply follow the 3 steps below. It is this information that will allow you to send your data on behalf of your Magento account to WMB.

Create a new integration

From your Magento back office, follow these steps:

  1. In your Magento admin panel, select System> Integration.
  2. Click the "Add new integration" button in the upper right corner.
  3. In the "Integration Info" tab, in the "General" section, you can enter and choose any name, such as "WMB API Access" for example.
  4. In the section "User identification", enter your password in the field provided ("Your password").
  5. In the "API" tab, the accesses of the drop-down menu must be positioned on "All".
  6. Click the "Save" button at the top right.

In the next step, you will create the connection within your Magento platform.

Activate the new integration

To complete the process, you will need to activate the new integration by following these steps:

  1. In your integration table, on the "WMB API Access" line, click "activate".
  2. Click the "Allow" button in the upper right corner.
  3. Keep your Access Token for authentication at WMB.

In the next step, you will connect your Magento platform.

Copy the API key of your connector to the WMB platform

In the "Admin API" section, follow these steps:

  1. Return to the my.wmb.io platform using your login and password.
  2. In your WMB registration tunnel, copy and paste the "Acess token" information of your Magento into the fields provided for this purpose.

In the next section, you will check that the communication between WMB and your Magento is functional.

Check the functioning of the communication between your Magento API and the WMB platform.

To verify that the communication between your Magento API and the WMB platform is working, go to the WMB platform and use the platform validation tool my.wmb.io and click "Submit".
